The diploma thesis deals with a proposal for the development of a remuneration system in a selected company using the concept of total remuneration. In the first part, a factual research is used to describe the theory for a better understanding of the issue. The second part includes an analysis of the selected company in terms of internal and external influences. The third part presents suggestions for change, including an economic evaluation of costs and benefits.
Assessment of Human Capital Management in Czech Companies

The aim of the thesis is to project and verify a model focused on assessment of human capital management in relation to company efficiency in selected sector – banking in Czech Republic. The model is projected in the following steps. Main areas of human capital management which are significant in terms of the relevant sector are identified by synthesis of the findings arising from preliminary research. Relevant variables are identified according to main areas. The degree of significance variables is established by a questionnaire survey. Subsequently, the number of variables is reduced by using statistical methods in order to preserve the original information. The last step is the presentation of the model proposal. Subsequently, the model is verified.

The diploma thesis focuses on optimizing the employee's remuneration system using the concept of total remuneration in a selected company. In the theoretical part, factual research is used to describe the theory's basic concepts and theoretical starting points needed for a better understanding of the issue. The second part of the work includes an analysis of the current system of remuneration of the selected company and the internal and external influences of the environment. The last part presents proposals leading to the optimization of the remuneration system including quantification and evaluation of the costs and benefits of the changes.

This thesis deals with area of satisfaction and motivation of employees in selected company. The first part describes theoretical aspects of motivation and its impact on human and his work performance. The practical part analyzes the motivation and satisfaction of employees by questionnaire survey. Subsequently recommendations for improving the current situation and increasing employee satisfaction are proposed which will lead to their more effective work performance.

My thesis deals with the selection of new employees in a specific company. The theoretical part explains methods of recruitment and basic terms and concepts associated with this issue. The practical part contains a description of the company, the objective of the research and actual survey via questionnaire. The results of the research are proposals and recommendations for changes that lead to finding the most suitable candidates for selected positions in the company for its better operation.

This thesis deals with proposal for an education program for employees of UHS JAKOS, a.s. which implemented a new information system 3 year ago and because of this they are planning to implement a bar codes. The analysis was realized by questionnaire survey between the employees who will work with the bar codes. The thesis is divided into 3 sections. The first section is theoretical and describes an education as process of change during implementing the bar codes. Next is analysis section which describes a current situation in the company by questionnaire. At the end it focuses on proposal of education program which will get easy the implementing of code bars.
Essays on International Migration

This thesis explores the effects of international migration on human capital formation in countries of origin. The first chapter investigates the short-run effect of paternal absence due to circular migration on the perseverance skills of children left behind. Using exogenous variation in the timing of return migration induced by bilateral migration laws between Ukraine and Poland, I show that current paternal absence due to circular migration negatively affects the perseverance skills of children left behind. This result is not explained by cognitive skills and is robust to including school and classroom fixed effects. The second chapter (jointly with Bohdana Kurylo) examines the impact of international migration opportunities on origin-country skills composition by exploiting changes in migration opportunities induced by visa liberalization between EU countries and Ukraine. Our results suggest that greater opportunities to emigrate to EU countries increased the probability students will choose subjects that are more likely to lead to internationally transferable skills in Ukraine. We find no evidence that greater opportunities to emigrate to the EU significantly affect student performance or the probability of failing exams in subjects that are likely to lead to more internationally transferable...
